Tarsahl

The two works presented here describe a hidden religious sect known as the Children Of Yahvo, and their secret tunnel Age of Tar'sahl. Ash'taroth, a member of the Children Of Yahvo, went against the sect and left his Journal and a link to Tar'sahl behind in his home in D'ni. The Journal was later found in the ruins of his home, along with the linking book to Tar'sahl. The Tunnel Testimonial was later found in Tar'sahl. Both works reside in Tar'sahl at this time.

The Tunnel Testimonial Of The Children Of Yahvo

{translated from the original D'ni script by Stranger}

We have come here because we want to become more-
Here to this tunnel Age, an Age of our Maker's design
To find the Path that leads to true enlightenment.

In the days of our ancestors,
The days before we called ourselves D'ni-
Our order was strong and powerful,
And there was deep knowledge and great reverence
For the Weaver Of Possibilities.

From that power, that knowledge, and reverence,
We the Children are born-
And we are still strong
We keep the reverence of our Maker's decrees.

In D'ni, our elders grew up among the Ancient Ones-
The oldest and wisest of our hidden people.
They learned much in the early days of D'ni history,
They learned of the pride and the enslavement-
And the deceit that leads to utter ruin.

Our people turned away from society,
And our hearts beat only for a solitary purpose-
We yearned for the Path that leads
To true enlightenment-
The Path that leads to our Maker, Yahvo.

We will always find that Path, because we believe.

We do not care for treasures and vainglory,
We do not control, enslave-
We only need the Light of the Maker,
As the seedling thrives upward for the sun.

This tunnel is the entrance into our beginning-
The place where we can find our Path,
And our Great Designer.

For all our lives have only just begun here.

We have worshiped and learned-
We have made our marks upon the wall-
This place is our Sanctuary,
Our place of refuge from the confines of a lawless society-
A society that has forgotten their real Maker,
And has strayed far from the Path of truth.

There are many in D'ni who do not agree,
Fail to see-
Just how far away they have become,
They do, will not see-
How much more can be obtained
When all is given.

And so we have gathered here in Tar'sahl,
And have sat our signs here-
This tunnel is our entrance into a new beginning.

The lights have gone out in D'ni-
An empire of Ages
suffocated,crumbling down,
Falling into a fissure of oblivion.

And we have come here for a final time,
To escape certain destruction-
We have come here with the White Figure,
And He must know how things will be.
His decree for our order is the reverence we keep-
One should always revere the Maker,
And cherish the made.

After so much pain, we are now leaving D'ni-
Leaving Tar'sahl, and the Vault Room.
He has opened the Great Door for us-
Beyond, we have found a treasure far greater
Than any of the riches of D'ni.
We have found our salvation.

And we have found the ancient realm of our ancestors-
Our Shining Land
Our Golden Age
Our Freedom.

Ash'taroth's Journal

{journal translated from the original D'ni script by Stranger}

A Path

I have written down here the events that have lead me to freedom - the end of my life here in D'ni, and
the rebirth of it in a new cycle. The remains of what lance was are gone, and I am become something
more. I have found the Path that leads to the Maker.

Children Of Yahvo

I was approached in the Lower City by two shadowy figures, who's names I will not write. They have
shared with me great wisdom and even greater mystery. These ideas, born from the ancient beliefs of
our own people, guide those that believe. I have observed with open mind and open heart, and have at
last found my true calling.

Secret Order

I fear I cannot write much of what has transgressed- but if I do not write it here then where? I have to
record this somewhere, but our society must be preserved as it always has been.
I will write here and risk removing the silence that has held our order together for many thousands of
years. I know that it could chance that someone will find this journal. If someone does; remember us.

The Tunnel Age

I have finally been allowed to visit Tar'sahl. The work is amazing; intricate and fitting of our order, a
vessel of our devotion to the Maker. All stand in awe of the place, and we feel a humbleness for the
great gift that has been given us. The tunnel was conceived long ago during the times of the first great
leaders, and its location had been kept secret for hundreds of years until a great lord of the group
suddenly came forth with the Book. My two colleagues have been talking about him, referring to him
as "our good friend". He has become a respected and wise elder of our order; hopefully I will get the
chance to meet him soon. He only appears at the times of the gatherings, and none know of where he
resides between.

The Vault Room

There is a spherical link room that grants access to the tunnel and Vault Room above. Six beautifully
carved and painted Story Stones stand in the upper Vault Room. They tell of the great rise and fall of
our order, and of the events that occurred during the old days, when the order was most powerful and
true to the old beliefs that are no longer acknowledged by D'ni, but still govern our secret society, even
to now.

There are also six Symbol Stones in the Vault Room that can only be deciphered by one of our order.
They are inscribed with the hehvkon, which is known to us, but unknown to any other. The whole of
that alphabet can be seen in the Vault Room, along with the numbers of our order. These are safe to use
in D'ni, since anyone without access to the tunnel and Vault Room cannot identify them.

Shetehntahn

Today while we were gathered, I saw him. I was told to address him as Master Shetehntahn, but also
heard many refer to him as the "White Figure". I asked my two friends what this meant, and they told
me about the paintings on the Story Stones in the Vault Room. Sure enough, Shetehntahn seemed to be
in each scene; portrayed always as a figure painted in white. The name, which is actually a title, was in
fact given to every great leader of the group through the millenia; The Grand Elder Sedon, now know
known as Shetehntahn or the "White Figure", was given the name when he had discovered the link to
the tunnel. An intricate mural was later added to the tunnel walls to honor his wisdom and writing,
which flows from and leads us closer to the Maker of worlds.

Enlightenment

After a great celebration this evening, Shetehntahn came over and passed me a small black leather
bound korvahk, and said it was to be my own. He was accompanied by my two new found friends. I
opened the Book and noticed that it contained a link to Tar'sahl. The korvahk that he has given me
provides constant access to the tunnel where our order gathers. I have become one of the Enlightened
Ones, those who are deemed to enter this hidden tunnel, the place where the order has gathered for
millenia to worship our Maker - I have become worthy enough to stand before the Great Door, and the
Tree.

Sacrifice

The rest of D'ni simply wouldn't understand our kind, for their minds are clouded with disbelief, and
the more I grow towards the group the further I grow away from my home. I have loved D'ni all my
life, but I grow more distant from it each day. My family's beliefs reside where my own are, and so they
too have sacrificed in order to know more of our great order. I know they will be beside me in the
years to come, and for that I am thankful.

Devotion

A great Journey has begun for me, and I am learning much from the others. Since I first met
Shetehntahn, he has revealed much; I do believe that he has reached a higher plane, for none can claim
to have seen the visions he has seen - those being sent from the Maker. If it truly is the divine plan that
he lead us, then my family and I will follow.

Destruction

Our order is slipping further away from D'ni with time. We are still D'ni, and will always be, but our
Assembly has become more. We have become more. Night after night, we gather in the great Vault
Room beyond the tunnel to come close to our Designer, the Weaver Of Possibilities. This evening,
during our great feast in the Vault Room, a grave message arrived. Destruction has come to D'ni; we
cannot return, and all has been lost. The catastrophe of deceit; a black and noxious cloud. The elders
have gathered all links back to D'ni except Shetehntahn's, and have burned them. The smoke from the
flames brings tears of sadness to our eyes. I will never forget my home. I grieve for D'ni; many of those
that I once knew there are no more. Some of our own will never return to us from there - lost; fallen to the Shadows.'

Enclosure

I weep inside and out for the tragedy at hand. D'ni is fallen, and there are no safe places. We must
escape from this tunnel, even if to the shadows. The Children of Yahvo must not die. We look to the
great Shetehntahn for our deliverance - we know that he will find a way. And there is the mystery of
the Door that remains. With the divine help of our Maker, we will find a way, together; all pray as the
dark times grow near.

Escape

He has gained access to the Great Door! It has been locked for a thousand years; sealed with a combination of
symbols lost to time. How he has accomplished it we do not know, but we believe. It's been a few
hours since Shetehntahn and the other leaders ventured into the dimly lit Tree room. The rest of us are
anxiously awaiting the news of what they have found. The crowd has begun to stir near the Door; the
sounds of footsteps signal our great leader's return.

The Maker's Age

Shetehntahn has presented us with another great relic of our order - the kormahn of Eder Bahrehltahn,
written by the Ancients. Throughout the Ages they possessed it and kept it hidden in the Tree Room.
And it is spoken of in our myths that some had gone there long ago, and had found the abundance of
Yahvo, and of the Tree.

The Tree Room

The White Figure declared that he had been given visions, and that He had shown him the secret Tree
room beyond the Great Door, where the Book had been hidden for a thousand years. The Maker had
shown him the meaning behind the Symbol Stones, and had shown him the combination to the Great
Door by which he gained access at last to the Tree Room and the Book containing the ancient Age of
our order. It will be our new home, and our great leader has assured us there is abundance there. Our
elders whisper to one another of the legends from our past that have come full circle.

Memories

Kah'lira, my loving and devoted wife, and my son Ash'toth will accompany me to Eder Bahrehltahn.
Also, I still have a link back to D'ni, and have not disclosed my Book to Shetehntahn and the others. If
they knew of it I would surely be cast out - perhaps even killed. Although it encompasses me with a
never ending guilt, I'm leaving my own korvahk and this journal behind in D'ni when we go. If by
chance it is found then I hope whoever finds it finds us. I cannot bear to leave D'ni without knowing
that somehow we might have a chance to be found, even though I know it is unlikely. I know I haven't
spoken much about my family here, but what is at hand goes beyond my family; beyond all. I have
them here with me now, and we will have our own time again soon, because we believe.

Strange Dreams

I dreamed that one day, a stranger would come along, find this Journal and read it, and come to find
us.

Final Destination

Our home is no more, and we have suffered a great loss. We are shattered- D'ni is shattered; but we
cling to hope. Through the madness we have found a way out into the Light. In this new Age of the
Maker, there is life and abundance, and so we will endure. Our history will also endure. The original
Story Stones have been replaced with new Stones, and they memorialize our victory over the
destruction that has come. The old Story Stones will reside with us in Eder Bahrehltahn. Soon we will
seal the Great Door, just as the descendants of our order have done before us. We cannot allow anything
to escape here to our sacred world; a world that was divinely designed just for us. We must keep our
watch, always. I am Ash'taroth, born of the blood ofD'ni. We are the Children of Yahvo, and we thank
our Maker.
